A Cairo studio built on patience, craft, and honest teaching

I signed up for the beginner sketching course not knowing a single thing about shading. Ten weeks later I was drawing portraits from photos. My instructor, Mariam, never rushed anyone in the group.

My son is nine and used to get bored quickly at other places. Here he stayed engaged the whole hour, mostly because the teacher let him experiment with watercolors instead of copying a template.

I'd painted with acrylics for years but never understood composition properly until the intermediate class. Six months in, my work looks noticeably different, and I finally sold a piece at a local exhibit.

The studio itself has great natural light, which makes a real difference when you're trying to get skin tones right in portrait work. Small classes too, maybe eight people, so you actually get feedback.

I was nervous joining at 52 with zero drawing background. Nobody made me feel out of place. By the third month I was doing still life studies I was genuinely proud of.

We booked a private session for my daughter's birthday, ten kids painting canvases for two hours. The instructor kept it organized and every kid went home with something they'd actually finished.
